Grant opportunities to help bring Rigamajig to your school, museum, library, community organization, maker space, STEM/STEAM program, or camp!

 

Toshiba American Foundation

Teachers in public or private schools can apply for project-based learning initiatives.

Motorola Solutions Foundation

Supporting technology and engineering education. Applications open in late November. 

Association of American Educators

Apply online for up to $500 for professional development or classroom materials. Application deadlines: October 1 and March 1.

Duke Energy Foundation

Accepts applications for $20,000 or less, year-round on a rolling basis. Geographic coverage: States where Duke Energy operates (NC, SC, FL, IN, KY, OH). Must apply at district level, not individual schools 

McCarthey-Dressman Education Foundation

Their Academic Enrichment Grants support in-class and extra-curricular programs that nurture the intellectual, artistic, and creative abilities of children from low-income households.

Exelon Corporation

Exelon invests in STEM/STEAM education, with an emphasis on preparing the future workforce in communities in which their employees and customers live and work.

Frey Foundation

Funds special teaching methods to create productive learning environments.

Hall Family Foundation

Supports education and the arts. (Kansas City, Missouri)

Halliburton Foundation

Endorses education K-college, supporting education in all major areas.

PNC Foundation

The PNC Foundation supports educational programs for children and youth, particularly early education initiatives that serve low-and moderate-income children (birth through age five), their teachers, and families. Priority is given to high-quality early childhood education initiatives that meet the criteria established through PNC Grow Up Great, specifically, support school readiness; focus on areas including vocabulary development, social-emotional learning, math, science, and the arts.

PTO Today, Fundraising

K-12 public/charter schools and parent-teacher groups can apply to Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grants. Each year, Lowe’s will donate up to $5 million to as many as 1,000 different public schools.

The NEA Foundation

The National Education Association offers multiple grants to public school educators throughout the nation, as well as information on other available grants. The maximum award and deadlines vary.

Walmart Community Grant Program

Walmart supports the educational needs of local Walmart communities through programs that provide afterschool enrichment, tutoring, or vocational training.

Washington State STEM Education Foundation

Washington State STEM Education Foundation is a national model for generating passionate support for STEM in Public Education: Every Student, Every Day.

W.K Kellogg Foundation

To ensure that all children get the development and education they need as a foundation for independence and success, the Foundation seeks opportunities to invest in early child development (ages zero to eight), leading to reading proficiency by third grade, high school graduation, and pathways to meaningful employment.
