Join our Community of Practice for K-5 Educators

Dear Educators,

We're excited to invite you to the first in a series of professional development and networking virtual sessions focused on integrating Rigamajig into diverse educational settings. Together, we'll explore ways to enhance STEM programs, incorporate engineering and building projects, and foster 21st-century skills through play while also addressing practical aspects of program implementation, funding, and administrator support. Our community welcomes participants from all learning environments—from general education and gifted programs to special education and after-school enrichment.

Session Details

In this opening session, Cas will share how to transform a classroom into a space where students drive their own learning through play. This session will help you to confidently shift from structured lessons with specific objectives to inquiry-based learning, where students lead their own discovery. You'll see how embracing this approach can work within your classroom while still meeting educational goals.

Session Highlights

  • What happens when we give students space to tinker, build, and experiment
  • How to leverage children's natural curiosity to foster problem-solving abilities and 21st-century skills
